The Carl
T. Johnson Hunting and fishing Center is open Memorial Day
through Labor Day, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., closed Mondays.
Also, the center is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the
rest of the year and available for schools or special occasions
during the week.
The center
was constructed by the Department of Natural Resources with
financial assistance from individual donations and from the
Rotary Club of Cadillac Foundation, a tax-exempt foundation.
It is operated by the Parks and Recreation Division.
The Carl
T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center is handicap accessible.
A volunteer-operated
store sells nature guides, t-shirts, wildlife art, and children's
items. Proceeds are used to help support the center.
