TREE REMOVAL - NEAR POWER LINES
<< Preamble >>
The removal of trees on State land near electric distribution lines is often necessary and involves a hazard to those doing the work and the possibility of service interruption.
<< General Policy >>
The removal of trees near electric distribution lines should, if at all possible, only be done by trained personnel. Utilities should be called upon for advice and assistance in every instance. The proper utility should be informed of the work even though they may not be able to be of assistance.
