Act 286, Public Acts of 1929 (the Game Law) makes it unlawful for any person to import into Michigan any live bird or animal mentioned in the Act or any game bird, game animal or wild fur-bearing animal, regardless of whether it is protected by law, unless he first secures from the Director a permit to import.
<< General Policy >>
Game birds and game and fur-bearing animals shall be allowed to be imported into the State only under permit which shall state conditions unless some known situation indicates it may be undesirable. The Director may establish quarantines on shipments into the State.
